My hot tub is on a raised deck with NO clearance on 2 sides and 2 foot clearance on the remaining two adjoining sides, so no conventional lifter with tubing on each sides would work.
My cover gets waterlogged as time goes on, so it gets heavier for this 83 year old to handle.
The Cover Captain, only works using 1 side, with no legs on both sides.
We mounted the lifter on the OURSIDE rail of the deck, so the hydraulic mechanism has PLENTY of room to pivot, using the hydraulic mechaanism.
We built it up so the lifter mechanism is parallel to the top of the tub and the railing of the deck.
So we simply fold the cover in half, slide it over the flat top of the deck rail and right 8nto the waiting arms of the lifter.
Then we can either leave it in this horizontal position OR use the hydraulic system to pivot the Dover down al9ng the railing and completely out of the way.
Email me is u want to see how we did it, to solve a formerly unsolvable tub cover problem.
