Fixed my Emerald Spas heater which had shorted out and was blowing breaker.

Fit my Gecko S-Class. Be prepared to either replace ring terminal ends or buy new wires. The originals are soldered on and have to be cut to remove the heat element.

Didn’t last- tripped breaker

After owning my hot tub for over 20 years, I’ve only had to replace the heater one time and I chose this one and immediately started having problems with my GFCI circuit breaker tripping, and just three years now it has completely broken with zero continuity. The previous heater lasted 18 years. It was a Hydro quip.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our heater element. These elements are manufactured by HydroQuip, using the best materials available, and have an excellent track record of reliability. We're always looking for ways to improve product durability. To that end, a technician will contact you shortly to get more information and help correct the issue.

Won't last in salt - not covered by Warranty!

paid extra for the titanium with 2 year warranty (bx5000at).. bought two, first one lasted 11 months, 2nd one lasted just over 1 month. SpaDepot service is typically good, they gave me a replacement for the 1st one (but stated it shouldn't be warranty due to corrosion), but won't warranty the 2nd one, again stating warranty doesn't cover corrosion and my salt levels must be off. It was in the tub for just over a month! Going to try a different brand in the future, I think these are just JUNK! I like SpaDepot but question their quality.. If you buy at least don't pay extra for the extended warranty!

Happy service tech and customers

As a hot tub service repair company, I run service calls with no store as a footprint. I rely on purchasing parts from online sites. Been buying heaters and parts from Spa Depot for years. Spa Depot has great prices, even adding discounts with quantity. Have had no issues with heaters not performing. Spa Depot parts allow me to get customers back up and running quickly.

My catalina jacuzzi started dropping temperature. Ohmed out the old element, and it was open. Swapped in this new one and she works like a charm. Super Happy with Spa Depot and their products!

titanium

I went with the upgrade. If it lasts more than 5 years it may because it is tougher. I won't know for a long time. It was great to be able to talk to a tech before ordering. My old element was not shorted enough to ring the ohmmeter, but it was enough to trip the gfic.

Easy to install. Buying the tube it goes in as a complete heater unit for $100 more is a waste of money.

My old heater has been working fine over the past few years. This new heater will serve as a spare part in case I need it. Not an easy part to install.

Great fix option......about 1/6 th the price of a complete new heater.

After 9 years my element was shorting out. Amanda was very helpful in troubleshooting. The hardest part of the R&R was draining the spa.
Spa Depot has provided outstanding parts and tech support. I am so lucky to have them nearby.
