ZorbO's hi-tech polymer wick, and flow-thru design cleans hot tub & pool water much better. Can't clog plumbing like smaller sponge-rubber floaters. Keep spares on hand.

  • Absorbs oily contaminates
  • Reduces foaming & odors
  • 400% more effective than foam floaters

Product notes:  Pair with ecoTUB Scum Buster for amazing results with less chemicals. Replaces Scum Ball, Dirty Duck, Zorbie, Scum Bug.

Highly effective floating absorber that captures oils, scum, and debris from spa/pool surfaces. Customers said it "works great" and keeps water "crystal clear." Most praise its simplicity and longevity. However, some reported durability issues: clips breaking, material disintegrating, and getting stuck in filters, potentially causing pump problems.

Effective but clogs filter

Works great at catching/preventing scum buildup, but I notice ZorbO can get stuck in the filter inlet (Jacuzzi J-245) and slow the flow of water. I wish it was a bit bigger so I can safely leave this in my hot tub unattended.

Cuts down the amount of cleaning to almost zero!

Works great for water clarity but gets stuck in my filter and shut down the tub

I am astonished at how well this thing clears my water but was dismayed to find it stuck in my filter basket within a week of buying it, which confused my tub enough that it shut itself down. In future I will remove it every night after using the tub, only allowing it to circulate while I am in the tub, about an hour nightly. Hopefully that will still provide most of the benefit.

Thanks for taking time to share your experience. The loop on Zorbo is actually designed to provide a spot to tether Zorbo to the tub. Grab a piece of string or paracord and tie it to a control valve or even sandwich the cord between the cover and the tub (when cover is closed) to keep Zorbo in place.

Excellent product and does what is advertised. If you monitor your chemicals, you hardly need this. Just follow the directions and it will last at least a month or two. Rinse it occasionally as directed. Thanks SpaDepot!

Yes

It floats on top of the spa water. Pretty simple and clear what to do with it. It soaks up oils from the skin.

A very good product for the money

I always make sure I have at least 1 backup of these. They absolutely work. Added insurance for your hot tub for sure. #sweepstakes is always good.

50/50 on these

My experience with these is literally 50/50. The first two I bought worked great - Seemed durable and to do the job. The last two, not so much - Both arrived with broken plastic clips. One held together OK, though with a shorter life span - the mesh tore and the fiber material started unraveling. The other became oddly saturated and sank into the water rather than floating. After a rinse and leaving it out to dry, I put it back in the water - same thing. Then the fiber material started coming apart as other reviewers mention. I'm deciding whether to give it another go, or try a different style/brand of scum absorber.

How long does this last? Can it be washed?

SpaDepot.com

Zorbo should be replaced every 3-4 months (every water change). We recommend rinsing Zorbo with a garden hose weekly to clear debris.
