Waterway Drain Tube Adapter ¼" MPT x ⅜" Barb

I spoke with your rep on chat and he told me the adapter that I would need based on my photos and pump model number. The adapter was properly sized on the threaded end that screws into the pump. The barbed end was twice the size of the original. I was able to modify the connecting hose to fit the barb. It all worked out with the modification. Overall, the order process worked well and the part arrived timely.

Spa depot came through with the correct part to repair my water pump…… I didn’t have to buy a new pump! Yay!!!

This isn't an easy item to describe or find but at Spa Depot it was easy and came up with a search of the website.

Installed it and it corroded away in a month draining my whole hot tub in the middle of winter.

Less than a year ago I originally replaced this same item on my new Hot Tub pump. This year the barb simply sheared off from the pump and lost most my water. Lucky for me I was home and noticed the loss of water. This year it was much more difficult to replace since the pump wasn't sitting on my work table but under the fixed one-piece formed body of my Dream Maker Hot Tub. Not sure why it simply failed after one year of operation. Hopefully it was just a fluke and a probable foreign manufacturing. Defect. Bought TWO this year just in case I needed to replace another, yet again, sometime in the future. I'm betting failure was a fluke incident. I hope.

IT'S MADE OF PLASTIC AND APPRANTLY CHEAP PLASTIC, WHILE TRYING TO SCREW IT INTO THE PUMP IT TWISTED RIGHT IN HALF.

This part fit well into pump, just a little snug. Just be careful when you start screw the part in. Easy to cross thread the part.

This item is nowhere to be found locally, including pool and spa companies. Thankfully the description for it was detailed enough that I was reasonably confident in it being the correct part. The part was shipped extremely quickly for their standard shipping, which I was profoundly grateful as my ""rigging"" to keep the spa functioning while waiting on this part was tenuous at best. I have found my go-to resource for future spa parts!

On a pump on a hot tub

Perfect replacement for replacing 3HP wet end on my hot tub's secondary pump when the motor bearing needed to be replaced. Cracked the impeller on the original wet end, so I had to get a replacement wet end (parts not available on the no-name OEM wet end).

It is delicate and easily broken if you over tighten. I suggest you buy 2 or 3 just in case.
