I contact Spa Depot and sent picture of nameplate to verify correct pump/motor for my application and this what what they recommended. The unit fit and easy connection. But that being said, the motor is longer and more powerful than old one. It barely cleared filter housing and I was concerned about that extra 4 amps it draws. But it seems to be fine at startup with all pumps on.

The description on lable sais that is a 4 HP and is a bit longer than the original one. It works fine and I love that its very quiet. The only thing wrong was that during shiping, the motor most have fallen and broke the piece that covers the cable on the back of the motor and I had to use the old cover and held it in place with tape. The price was a fair price too.

I ordered this pump to replace the Emerson powered pump that had the motor fail after 20 years of use.

The price was the best I could find, and after I ordered it, I was a little worried that it was going to have a low quality Chinese motor, but I was pleased to find it had a US Motors on it.

It was essentially identical to the pump I replaced and worked perfectly.

The Spa Depot was fast and easy to deal with. This is a replacement pump, I hope it last longer than the one I’m replacing (5 years). So I'm trying to be optimistic about the manufacture but more than happy with Spa Depot.

The pump faster than I expected. Fit in nicely. Powered it up and the spa was fixed.

Arrival time for pump was quick, easy to install, and works like a champ.

Have not installed this yet. But I've replaced both of my 5HP motor/pumps with this same one. The one from 10 yrs ago failed due to a water leak which caused shorting. The one from 5 yrs ago is still working great. Both of them, bought around 5-6 yrs apart were the same price. The new one I just purchased was 40% more expensive, implying that inflation on pumps is not immune to everything else inflation-wise.

Very Happy with this spa pump. Replaced the 5.5 pump that went bad. Works great.

Runs smoothly and quietly for its size.

My old pump failed and I was reluctant to try to fix it myself. After doing a little research and looking at reviews, I chose Spadepot.com and save several hundred dollars compared to a national pool supply company...over $250 for the exact same pump. It was much easier to swap out than I expected with the proper tools...I needed a phillips screwdriver on a rachet to remove 2 screws on the backside of the pump. Arrived sooner than expected too.

The motor is quiet which is an upgrade to our failing motor. So happy to have found your site and will recommend to everyone I know with a spa.

After consulting with customer service we decided this was the replacement I needed. Ordering process was smooth and installation was seamless.

I've purchased several of these in the past & they have always been solid. This last one had a cracked wet end & just didn't seem to be as solid as those I've bought in the past (different motor ) However 5 stars for Spa Depots customer service. I called them & they sent out a new wet end that works perfectly. So I'd say go for it, just hope you have better luck than I did.

MKe sure you get the right gaskets, guy sold me something that wouldn't work. Reused old gaskets and the pump works as expected.

Second stage spa for my Clearwater. Installation was quick and easy.

The pump works great but the packing was not well done for the shipping. The pump sat in GA but days as the label was unreadable and had to be replaced. When the pump got here, there was a sizable whole in the bottom corner of the box. Luckily the drain plug did not fall out that was in the box. I was going to deduct a star but the company service was very good but I did not have to have a new pump sent as it appears the pump is working fine.

I originally ordered the wrong sized motor. I thought about it and then chatted online with a rep. He was extremely helpful as the correct motor and other parts were shipped and my original bill rectified. Thank you

The pump shipped quickly and was a straight forward swap. The only problem was it took 3 weeks to arrive which was a fed ex issue and not spa depot

Bought this motor/pump to replace one in a hot tub we were selling as a part of downsizing. Original motor/pump was an AO Smith 56 frame so I thought buying another 56 frame would mount up using same holes. I had to drill new holes (1/4"" off) to mount the base of the motor. You would think the mounting on a 56 frame motor would be precise across brands, but apparently not so. Pump was easy to loosen and rotate to fit my hot tub. once installed motor/pump performed well. Spa Depot would get 5 ***** stars because I expected the motor/pump to take 3-5 days to arrive (180 mile) and they had it here the next day.

This is the same motor and pump as the last one that was in the Hot Tub. the last one lasted just over a year so I couldn't return it for credit. I hope this one last longer. The first motor and pump lasted about 10 years.
