4 HP Waterway Executive Spa Pump: 2" in/out 240V

The pump came with a broken cover for wiring the pump. The cast iron was broken where the screws thread into the pump. I contacted SpaDepot and was told that it does not affect the warranty of the pump and I should just secure it with electrical tape. I have installed the pump and so far it seems to work just fine. SpaDepot did help when I had some questions about wiring the new pump which was very helpful. Hopefully this pump will last a long time.

A little louder than expected but great quality

I bought this motor with the anticipation of not having to worry about it. Our family enjoyed the hot tub but then one night a few months ago we started hearing a loud strange noise and eventually the motor seized. Luckily we were home when this happend because it was below freezing when it happend. I am very frustrated because after locating my receipt I noticed that there are no returns after 10 days.... Im at a loss right now. The motor still looks very new. I wish I had answers...

I purchased this pump on 11/29/17 and installed it on 1/20/18 when the temperature got above freezing here in Michigan. Pump immediately was tripping the 50Amp GFCI breaker when turned on. After uninstalling the pump and applying power I could see a spark in behind the rear plate before it tripped the breaker again. Upon removing the rear plate I located a yellow wire with the insulation rubbed off it. The exposed wire was shorting out against the inside of the motor. I used several layers of black electrical tape to repair the wire so it would no longer short out as temps were falling below freezing again. After reinstalling the pump and getting it running I noticed a front bearing noise like you would expect from an older motor that you would tell the customer needs to be replaced within a year. I had to leave to pump in the spa so it would not freeze. I will need to replace it again at no charge when I go back in the spring for maintenance. I have installed many of these WW Exec 56 pumps over the past 25 years and they are typically rock solid pumps and I will continue to use them.. this one was just a Lemon and should have never made it past quality control. Hopefully I will have no issue returning this and getting a replacement as it is already bad enough I will not be reimbursed for all the extra work involved. AJ

Replaced my old motor and pump because of bad bearings. Sound was extremely loud when running. New motor and pump from spa depot purrs like a kitten... Can't even tell it's on ....

I worked out great because we had a run on that very popular Waterway pump because of the hurricane. If you had wholesale pricing we could sell a lot more on the West Coast.

Soo excited about this pump. Works great, quiet, and does what it is supposed to. Upgraded to the 4HP pump from the 3 1/2. Why cheap out on a pump which is the life and enjoyment of your hot tub. Easy to install as well.

Will use once warm enough to access my hot ton.

Only lasted two years and now have to replace it again. Original pump lasted 8 years.

My motor stopped going into high just stays in low I don't know why. When I put it in both speeds were working?!!
