Yearly replacement

My spa stays open year-round. It seems like these heating elements last about one year before failing. I keep a spare set on hand just in case. We’ll see how long these last.

Very good heating Element.

I bought a 10"" replacement element from a different vendor and it did not properly fit in the tube, was touching the bottom. This 7"" fit perfectly and is doing a good job heating the 400 gallons hot tub.

Heater failed after 2 days of use

Don't know what happened but the heater element burned out after two days of use. Customer service suggested it was a flow problem. Installed a flow meter and the flow remains constant. Plan to install a new element to see if the problem occurs again.

Can I use a 5.5 kw element to replace a 4.0 kw element? it’s hooked up to 120v

SpaDepot.com

As long as you have the load capability at your service panel to handle the extra amperage a 5.5kW (1.375kW @ 120V) element draws, it's a good upgrade. If you're not sure, stick with the 4kW (1kW @ 120V).
