This not the first time I have purchased this product. It is essential for the type of high calcium water in central MO.
I add it 1 time per month to decrease scale deposits on the spa walls. I haven’t developed any issues with pump or jet blockages.
I have found that using 3 oz instead of 2 oz sometimes seems to control build up better. And yes a larger more economical bottle would be nice.
I got everything that I ordered in a timely manner. I feel that the spa filter prices are the best anywhere, including Temu.
I'll be ordering my chems and filters from you guys from now on..Cheers!
I'm not a chemist. The product works as promised. I use it every two to three weeks when I top of my tub. The water is crystal clear. -- The folks at SpaDepot are super-helpful and respond very fast to emails when you have questions.
the three items we ordered where exactly want we needed. Ordering was easy and delivery was great. This company is reliable and tracking the order was easy too.
This is a repeat order, have been very happy with how well this product works and how easy it is to use.
Great product fast shipping
Before using this my water heaters were burning out within a year. I have well water and found without this product my heating element would quickly build up a white scale over the entire element and eventually stop working. Since using 1 oz a week of the scale defender I haven’t replaced my heater in over 5 years. I’m sure it’s coming soon as they are normally good for about 5 years from what I hear.
Seems to work well so far been using it about a year.. and less to add then other brands
This product seems to work OK but I've noticed that, over time, a slimy residue starts to grow within the unused portion of this treatment. In other words, once I've used about half the bottle I start to see stuff floating in the chemical. It's slimy and doesn't look like something that I want to put into my hot tub. What is this? At first I thought it was just something with the particular batch/bottle I had but I see the same thing happening on subsequent bottles of this that I've purchased.
Thank you for your feedback. The residue you're describing is a natural occurrence caused by the product's binding agents. It is safe to use and will not harm your hot tub. However, we understand your concerns and are constantly improving our formula to minimize this residue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your continued support. Have a great day!
unexpectedly smaller container than competing brand. probably will seek competing brand next time.
Fast, easy and the best products on the market.
I just started using the filter a few months ago. So far it keeps the water clear. The defender chemical seems to work well too as the spa appears to be scale free. I put one once per week.
Great product
So far, working well. Update to follow.
used in our spa
I used to purchase items from you guys that were larger size for less money 😔
Easy to use. Seems to work as described
Scale Defender is the best way to keep water free of scale.

Use In Hot Spring Spa. Keeps spa clean and in working order.
Our water is harness of 52 gpg or like 750 ppm. I use 3/4 RO/DI but previous owner used all tap. Product had calcium build up come out OVER TIME. Give it a few months to get all deposits out. About 3-4 months. Been 6 months and no more deposits coming out of plumbing.
The products we use work very well.
Cleared water overnight as I only used a cup full
My recent purchase of a new circuit board for my tub was a prime example of how well Spadepot is at service for the customer. I have been dealing with Spadepot for around 15 years and they have always been there with expert advise on motors, pumps and anything hot tub. This last go round I had a need to replace a circuit board that was purchased from the company years ago. They new what board that was needed from an old invoice and sent it to me directly. When I swapped out the board it seemed like a no brainer, move this one off the old board and connect it to the new board. But naturally I messed up a jumper pin which caused me to call for help. The Spadepot tech knew exactly what my issue was and instructed me how to move the jumper to the correct position, and just like that my tub was up and running again. Great Job as always guys!!!!
I've never had an issue with scale. I switched to this years ago because my other brand was expensive and the spa store is a long drive away.
