Occasionally you will have 1-1/2"" spaflex piping yet an original al 2"" wet head and your replacement pump may only be 1-1/2""

Can this part (BX9903) be screwed into union BX9908 to form a transition from a pump with a 1.5” MBT inlet/outlet to 2” pvc plumbing? Any other way to make that kind of connection?
