Easy glue in and slip as well as heaterside seal. However water started leaking at gate slide shaft immediately after sliding open position. Applied lube to shaft and after a few open close movement stopped leaking.

Gate valve selection great
Great gate valve selection, ordered to version that would attach directly to heater, so one less fitting required in my limited space. Only downside was had to buy separate split nut after I found my original had shrunk and would not tighten on new valve threads.

valve function
was very disappointed that the 2 inch gasket didn't fit like it should have,it did not sit in the grove flush. Had to heat it with a heat gun to stretch gasket to fit. It also was a struggle getting the splitnut for the heater to grab correctly to tighten

This was a perfect fit and match
I cut off the defective part and replaced it with this gate valve and no more leak!!! This one-piece should prevent joint leakage.
