Highly effective calcium sequestrant that "works great for hard water" management in hot tubs. Customers said it's "simple to use" and keeps water "crystal clear." Works best with 4+ hours application time. Praised for being gentle and environmentally safe. Some noted initial setup complexity and availability challenges. Overall excellent for startup and maintenance.

Hard water help

I've used this for years when draining my tub. It's the best. Now I'm having a hard time finding it

Works great for hard water

Our local water is very hard and this allows us to get it back into a normal range in our tub. This does need to stay in the tub for at least 4 hours for us, even though directions say 2-4 hours. Then you rinse off the filters and you're good to go. We just do it when we change water.

This product works well

This product is simple to use and works well. It was priced better when it was part of a kit. Used in conjuction with other products in the line, it provides good tub chemistry.

We will always use the cleanwater products

The Cleanwater products are great, We have been using them for several years now. Soon after we purchased a new hot tub my wife developed a severe allergic reaction to the usual chemicals that are used in hot tub treatment. At the time we thought we would just have to do away with our hot tub. Lucky for us we found the cleanwater products on the SpaDepot website. They work great & we couldn't be happier.

Mineral system

I really like the mineral system vs bromine or chlorine. Would buy again.

Cleanwater Prep

Can't say how good the prep works as I haven't run hot tub without it. The Cleanwater Blue system is easy to use, works great and fairly inexpensive over time. I wouldn't use anything else.

Cleanwater Blue System works well

I've been using the Cleanwater Blue chemicals for several years in my spa and it works great and I only need to test chemicals twice per month. Also when I drain the spa it doesn't harm plants.

Love this product

A little complicated to get started but once everything is in and balanced very easy to maintain. Water stays crystal clear and stays that way for quite a while. Follow the directions

We have a water softener and fill our hot tub with "soft" water. Is it necessary to use this sequestrant? It is my gestalt that the sequestrant isn't necessary based on how water softeners work. I appreciate your insight on this matter. Thank you

SpaDepot.com

Cleanwater Prep is designed to reduce water hardness by sequestering calcium. If you're filling (or partially filling) your spa with softened water, you don't need this product. Do however keep in mind your hot tub will perform best with calcium hardness in the range of 150-300 ppm.
