Sealube P-80 Pump Seal Lubricant

This lubricant worked as advertised, I recommend in dealing with plastic and rubber components.

Worked fine I guess, taste isn't so pleasant. Could've added cherry flavoring, just saying.

This came in handy while installing the rubber impeller-side seal of a spa pump. I had to use a silicone sealer to seal the motor side but that makes sense because that is metal-on-plastic junction. But this lubricant is exactly what is needed when installing the rubber-mounted impeller side.

I run a spa and pool repair business on the side and have been using P-80 for years. You have to have an assembly lubricant in order to get replacement seals in place especially on used equipment. During parts assembly installation lubricant will likely come in contact with sealing faces. The problem with PTFE or silicone is when it touches these faces it is almost impossible to remove. When the pump is started they will draw carbon from the primary mating ring and eventually destroy the seal. P-80 is water base and washes away quickly when you start the pump so there is no damaging residue. I would not use any other product for seal assembly.

P-80 pump seal lube makes an otherwise difficult installation job a snap. Meets and exceeds my expectaions.
