A couple weeks ago we received a large rainstorm. Went out to find my hot tub over filled with water. The top of the cover had deteriorated from the sun and leaked like a sieve.
After removing the coverall, I found small blue flecks from the underside of the cover breaking apart. In South Carolina we have intense sun, but come on, 9 months and it is worthless.
Now understand that I bought this Cover Cover :-) to help in the deterioration of my spa cover, which was already in full effect. It worked amazing for 6 months. Would I buy another one? ...probably. But just to help protect the new $600 Hot Springs Cover I just purchased and was told that the life expectancy is only 3 years.
If you get a lot of hot sun on your tub, just be advised this may not last you a full 12 months worth of protection.
Hope this review helps your decision making process.
Perfect cover for my Sundance 1995 Optima 96"" x 96"" spa. I use to cover it with an irregular sized tarp. It always blew off with strong gusts of wind even though we tied it down. This cover is form fitting and so far the wind has not been able to take it off.
Just been on my tub for a week. But it is easy to remove and place back on. Our house is tan, so works nicely with our outside decor.
I use it for added protection for my 8' x8 ' Redwood Cal Spa . It is easy to put on & take off !
Great product for the price. Way better than throwing a tarp over the cover. Only negatives are that there aren't color options and the Velcro on the skirt could be longer to make the fit tighter. Great protection for the expensive spa cover, and keeps the water out when it rains.
