Plast-Aid Acrylic & PVC Repair - 6oz Kit

Against all expectations this product really worked in sealing a damaged and leaking PVC high pressure return line. My cedar hot tub was accidentally run at high pump with a closed gate valve which resulted in a leak between a flexible PVC line and a 1 1/2" jet body. I believed that my only option was to cut the lines, replace the jet body and re-plumb. No leaks no more! For a good bond, prepare the surface to be bonded by first sanding and then cleaning the area to be patched with the Plast-aid liquid. Prepare the Plast-aid material by carefully following the included direction with specific regard to stages of cure and curing time. There are currently several very helpful Youtube videos.

I used this to repair a crack in my Hot tub and this stuff works great! I had a crack that was 5 inches long and about 1/4 inch wide cleaned and prepped area and applied it and let it dry. Filled hot tub up no leaks , I would highly recommend this.

Repaired a 4"" pvc drain pipe that serviced my mudd/laundry room. Great product and easy to use.

Things to know: It does set up within 10 minutes. You will feel it getting more viscous as you apply it. Do not make huge beads you will have to sand. I was working on a spa w/8-10 cracks, some over 18"" long. I used a Dremel w/small ball end ( 1/16?) that came with it to make a nice groove to fill this stuff in. Worked great. This stuff is tough and will get gummy when sanded with a sander. I wound up using a sheetrock knife and my leatherman to tap/chisel away the excess above the surface of the grooves. It will chip away leaving the groove filled. There is plenty in the kit. I still have over half left after filling about 3 yards of groove. Overall it works great as long as you don't make a sanding nightmare with a huge bead. I had probably 10ft of cracks that I filled. I'd have been there for days of sanding by hand or with my vibrating sander. The other difficulty is sanding the plasti-aid without sanding your shell. That is why I opted to try tap chiseling it off and it worked great. The cracks are still visible, but it is sealed.

I had 4 leaks in hot tub PVC connecting to jets. One of the leaks was so bad it was squirting outside of body of hot tub. I was told it would easily be over $1000 to repair. Plastaid solved the problem. I did it myself and saved a ton!!!

Best plastic repair I've ever used. I repaired a part on my swimspa that is no longer available and it's held up great. Also sprung a couple of leaks in my dripper system line and it's too hot here to be working outside so I used Plast-aid and stopped the leaks and it only took a few minutes. Everyone should carry it in their emergency bag.

I've repaired countless leaking plumbing fittings and this stuff is incredible. Just yesterday, I repaired some broken plastic on my weed trimmer.

This Plast-aid is easy to use. So far I've been repairing the Plastic grill on my 1863 Cub Cadet lawn tractor. The plastic grill and plastic front hood assembly are no longer available. The Plast-aid compound hardens into hard ridged plastic patches that form new workable areas that can be used to repair the plastic that is available for these 30 year old machines.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this was a tub saver. Smell is strong but its typical for this kind of material. Had about a 5" rounded crack to repair. Sanded and masked the area, followed instructions, and removed tape the next day as temperature was only 40 and I wanted ti to fully cure. The edges where the masking tape came off were very hard to sand with 60 grit! Refilled the tub and it runs normally - no leak. I'd highly recommend this over a tub replacement. Great product!

Was able to apply to a flexible PVC drain pipe with a small crack near the joint. Very difficult to access. Saved me a very frustrating job.

had a crack in the manifold whee the flex pipe connected and so i found Plast- aid and followed the instructions and it stopped the leak. Very easy to use! looks like it will work on a lot of other things also!

I had an old, rare bakelite switch I was going to repair. Doing the finger test with the liquid, it seems that it won't bond. Bummer.....waited a long time for the product.

I tried a few different methods of fixing my plastic 4 person spa before finding this. Wish I would have started with it, it was by far the best option all along. Other than plastic welding, it is the only thing I've found that becomes integrated into the original material. Everything else falls off pretty quick given the heat of a spa.

Plast-aid appears to be a good product for most leaks. However, it is a bit tricky to get the correct consistency for application, depending on the type and location of leak. Areas must be dry to use. I had a couple different types of leaks, and it did not work on all of them. Others I had to re-apply. But it hardens quickly and certainly seems better then just silicone alone.

Worked perfectly to fix cracked hot tub shell.

This was recommended to repair a leaking cracked nut on PVC pipe going to spa pump. I applied the stuff in 30 degree weather and tried to tighten it up after about 30 minutes, even though I think it says just 10 minutes. It had not set by that time, probably due to the cold, and started to crack more before I could get it tight enough. Figuring it wasn't going to work, I just put a bunch more on and left it overnight this time. The next day to my surprise I was able to give the nut a good tightening and no leaks!

Had a slow drip leak in my sprinkler system PVC elbow right before the valve , shut water, cleaned the area , sanded it , then applied this mix. It's been holding for a month, No leak!!!
