Laing E5 Low Flow 7-GPM Spa Circulating Pump ¾" Barb - 120V/240V

Pump worked out....used some parts to rebuild old pump did not have outside chasis ground terminal on new pump. Did not have time to send back and reorder time constraint to get Hot running.

It's lighter than the original and smaller, but it runs very quietly , and I suspect that it's pumping a little more water than the original. Installation with easy , although I had to move it little bit from the original pump's position to make the hoses line up. Altogether , at very good replacement for the original pump. The original pump lasted about 20 years. We'll see if this one lasts as long!

Great pump. Pump together very well. Runs smoothly and quietly. This pump save my 45 year old hot from being disposed of. This is my second pump. Installed first one at least 12 years ago. Highly recommend this magnetically coupled pump.

Small and easy to install. Only issue is the distance between the inlet and outlet is smaller than the original so I needed to find a longer hose. Would have been nice to know so I could have ordered it at same time.

Perfect fit. Could have gotten away with reusing front plate from Silent Flow 5000. Also used the back plate from silent flow and soldered the ground wire inside to maintain the bonding and grounding post on the back. Saved $100

SpaDepot had the best price, and shipped within 24 hours, many thanks! The pump is branded "Goulds" (not "Laing"). The description says "direct replacement for SilentFlow 5000 (OEM 74427)". That may be true, though it was not a 100% drop in replacement for the circulation pump in my 2008 Hot Springs Spas Envoy. The Goulds pump was smaller than my existing pump, so some modification to 3/4 inch vinyl tubing was required. And the pump comes with bare wire ends, so the addition of crimp-on terminals to attach to the PCB was also required. (SpaDepot also sells vinyl tubing and a terminal kit.) I was able to make these modifications and replace the pump without draining the tub by using rubber stoppers to quickly plug disconnected hose connections. The new pump (and a new heater) corrected my no-heat condition, so I am happy.
