Professional experience from the git go. Spoke to service at SpaDepot with my specs and had the pump on my doorstop next day. Perfect fit; wiring was exact and new seals dropped in place. Swap took less than 1 hour and was in the spa that night. Same price as one on Amazon but with the professional suppprt of SpaDepot. Priceless! Why shop anywhere else for anything spa related. Was for a 350gallon Master Spa.
Great pump, fast shipping which was super helpful, repeat customer & I highly recommend Spa Depot. Thank you.
Good job, as usual.
Pump works fine, no issues. It was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition and is purring away as I write this.
My only objection is with the instructions regarding wiring. For a 240V pump there is not neutral connection, but the instructions indicate a neutral conductor terminated to the pump. There is a common wire for either speed, but it is not the neutral conductor. Instructions indicate that the white wire lead is the neutral conductor when in fact it is one of the two 120V legs. Low or high speed terminals get the other 120V leg. Residential power is called split phase, which is single phase power with a neutral conductor and two 120V legs with respect to neutral and measuring 240V between the two hot legs. A 240V pump has connections for ground and the two hot legs, the neutral conductor is not used and not connected to the pump. This should be clarified in the instructions.
My old pump's bearing were shot and I couldn't find a bearing kit for the motor. Spa Depot's customer service people helped me locate this one as a replacement. While I knew it was a different frame size, I didn't know if the bolt patter & placement were the same. The pattern is identical, but where it's located on the pump body is different. So I needed to remove the old pump (done), as well as the mounting bolts (also done). The problem that remains is that the plywood underneath the old pump is rotten. So I'm working on how I'm going to fix that before I can install the new pump. I think it's doable. Once I've got a stable platform, I should be able to get some new mounting bolts fixed to it, get the pump fittings mated up, and the wiring sorted out. I'm looking forward to having a complete working Jacuzzi again.
