Electrical Service Voltage:
120 Volt (Plug & Play Spas): Typically equipped with a 15A GFCI power cord, going to a dedicated household outlet. 110V, 115V, 120V call-out ratings are used interchangeably.
240 Volt (Hard Wired Spas): Connected to a nearby GFCI protected disconnect box on a 50A or 60A circuit as required. 220V, 230V, 240V call-out ratings are used interchangeably.
Heater Wattage Choice:
A heater's wattage rating is the amount of electrical energy (in kilowatts) it consumes while warming the water @ a given voltage.
4kW@240V (1kW@120V): Draws less amperage. Most Common.
5.5kW@240V: Faster heating - Maintains temp in colder climates. For 50A + service.
Jet Pump 1:
120V or 240V - 2 speed pump - 12 Amps max
Voltage: Verify on motor label. 120V may be called-out as 110V or 115V. Similarly, 240V may be 220V or 230V.
Speeds: Two speed pumps list 2 amperage & RPM ratings - High/Low speed.
Pro Tip: Rely on motor data label for specs. Don’t assume it’s 240V based on service voltage or a four-wire cord.
Jet Pump 2:
120V or 240V - Single OR 2-speed pump - 12 Amps max
Voltage: Verify on motor label. 120V may be called-out as 110V or 115V. Similarly, 240V may be 220V or 230V.
Speeds: Two speed pumps list 2 amperage & RPM ratings - High/Low speed. Single speed pumps only list 1 amperage & RPM rating.
ProTip: Two speed pumps require 4-wire cords, while 1-speed pumps need only 3.
Note: Don't have a second pump? Choose Not Applicable.
Jet Pump 3:
120V or 240V - Single speed pump - 12 Amps max

Blower/Pump 4:
120V or 240V - Air Blower OR Single speed pump - 12 Amps max
Blower: Pushes air through dedicated air-lines, creating fine bubbles. Look for a keypad button labled Blower or Turbo.
(Pump:) In the absence of a Blower, this circuit supports an additional single-speed jet pump.
Voltage: Verify on label. 120V may be called-out as 110V or 115V. Similarly, 240V may be 220V or 230V.
Speeds: Single speed pumps/blowers only list 1 amperage & RPM rating.
Note: Don't have a blower or fourth pump? Choose Not Applicable.
24hr Circulation Pump:
120V or 240V - 4 Amps max
A circulation pump (not to be confused with low speed on a 2-speed jet pump) runs continuously to filter and heat water.
This system is ONLY compatible with low-flow circ pumps (10GPM+ @ 6' of head) with ¾" or 1" plumbing.
Voltage: Verify on motor label. 120V may be called-out as 110V or 115V. Similarly, 240V may be 220V or 230V.
Note: Laing E5, E3, or E1 provide inadequate flow for this control system.
Ozonator:
120V or 240V - 1 Amp max
Voltage: Many newer ozonators support 100–240V, while others require a fixed voltage. Verify on ozonator label.
IMPORTANT: If you have a circulation pump, ozonator voltage must coincide.
Pro Tip: Ozonators usually last 3 or 4 years. Replace aging ozonators with a Clarathon Hi-Output Spa Ozonator Kit.
Note: If you don't have an ozonator, take this opportunity to add one, or choose Not Applicable.
