Economy Disposable Fill Filter attaches to your garden hose for filling hot tubs and pools. Micro-pore filter media catches sediment and particulates. Discard when soil-clogged.

  • Attaches to garden hose
  • Single stage
  • Filters out sediment & particles

Product notes: Replaces part FC3128. Does not remove dissolved compounds. For ultimate filtration, or if on well water, use the multi-stage PreFresh Fill Filter (# MT1051) which also removes metals and reduces scale.

Customers said this hose-end filter "works wonders" for filling hot tubs and pools, effectively removing particles and minerals from well and hard water. Most praised its simplicity and effectiveness at keeping water clear and balanced. However, some reported slow flow rates and one received dirty water, suggesting occasional quality inconsistencies.

Filter seem to work

The filter did what it was supposed to. It seemed to take about the same time to balance my hot tub water with or without the filter. #sweepstakes

I would purchase this product again! Works Great.

I use this filter attached to the end of my Garden Hose when refilling my Hot Tub after Cleaning.

great filter

Purchased several other types of filters and this one is simple and works very well. With direct well water, the amount of particles can vary along with whatever matter is lining the hose. This filter takes care of restricting all of that from entering our hot tub.

Good filters

I ordered two. One of them arrived with hose end unattached. Company sent a new one without hesitation.

Used to refill pool

I was informed by an owner of a local pool maintenance and supply company that using these to fill a pool is not recommended because the plaster needs the minerals from the water (if the water is too clean it will leach it from the plaster). I don't know if that's true. However, we can use the filter to reduce the amount of particulates added to the pool. So that's what we do. With time the filter gets heavy from mineral and iron deposits (it turns rusty brown in addition to that hard water crud). I can't say if it will stretch out the length in between water changes (for us we just changed it after a little over 5 years) but from the deposits from the filter it does seem to work. We've gone through three filters in a year (two of these and one more expensive heavy duty filter).

I would not buy this product again.

This did not even last one fill. The water trickled through at a slow rate. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong product. The one we usually use lasts a long time and does a great job.

These filters really work.

I started using these filters before I drained my pool the last time. They work for me as we have hard water here and it filters out most of the stuff that was going into the pool. I use them every time water is added to the pool which is qite often during the warm weather.

Disposable Hose-End Fill Filter

Works well. I've used these filters every time I drain and fill my pool and they leave the water clear and free of contaminates. Highly recommended.

Works great

We have a well water system and this filter really helps filter out particles so my spa filter does not have to work so hard after a refill!

How many gallons is it good for?

SpaDepot.com

It depends on the state of your source water, but a good rule of thumb is around 20 (500 gallon) spa fills.
