Never buy electronics from Amazon

I had purchased a sensor assembly from Amazon, It stated it was a Balboa. After I installed it my hot tub water was still not heating up. Since my hot tub is an 05 model I almost purchased a new circuit control panel for it. I instead decided to order another sensor from Spa Depot and it arrived quickly and after installation worked perfect. This could have been a very costly mistake and a royal pain trying to track down a hot tub issue that I had assumed had been repaired.

I was able to replace the board snd everything works

Some of the connectors had hidden locks making things harder than necessary.

No instructions Did not match product description on website

Documentation with the product would be helpful. It has both the temperature sensor and overheat sensor but they are on a split connector now rather than one. Other documentation says that the connector must be disassembled to install the retaining ring but that is not necessary with the split connector so it is actually an improvement. However, after installing the new sensors were installed, the hot tub continued to exhibit the same errors so it was not the sensor at all but rather a different problem. Better documentation and diagnostics for Balboa equipment would really make their products more useful.
