Continuous low
speed.
Components
associated:
- Time Clock
- Thermostat
- Contactor/Relay
- Pump Motor
A) Be sure that timer is set to off and thermostat is fully
counter clockwise (CCW). Select time clock mode.
B) Select high speed and check that motor switches over. If not, try rotating timer and /or turning thermostat full CW. If high speed comes on with timer or thermostat, switch black and red wires on back of motor
(high & low speed connections reversed).
C) If motor switches over to high speed, return to low speed and disconnect one of the wires from the contactor coil. If this stops low speed, replace wire and disconnect either connection 3 or 5 from timer. If this stops low speed, replace timer. If low speed does not disengage by removing coil wire from low speed contactor, replace the contactor.
D) If the previous steps do not correct problem, there is an internal wiring
or circuit board problem.
